Summary & Overview:

This candidate has a long background across Project and Program Management, Business Architecture and ERP transformation, with particularly deep SAP experience across mining, resources and utilities. They have recently finished a Senior Program Manager contract within a major mining organisation, leading a global ServiceNow and SAP S/4HANA program across demand-to-pay. The work covered procurement services, supply chain and HR, with ServiceNow being extended as the front end into SAP alongside AI-based case summarisation.

Contracting remains their preference, ideally in a Senior PM, Delivery Manager, Business Architect or ERP transformation role. They would also consider a Senior BA role for the right short-term opportunity. Flexibility is a priority, ideally two to three days in the office rather than full-time onsite.

Why hire:

Good conversation, communicates well and interviewed very well. They came across as smart and experienced, with the ability to operate at both the strategic and delivery level. Their background is broader than a traditional SAP Project Manager. They can get involved early, work with senior stakeholders to understand the business problem and requirements, help shape the architecture and delivery approach, and then stay with the project through implementation.

There is plenty of large-scale ERP delivery behind them. Recent assignments have covered ServiceNow/S/4HANA, SAP supply chain optimisation, S/4HANA finance transformation, EAM improvements, data migration and analytics. Their background in Finance also gives them a good understanding of the underlying business processes. They are comfortable managing system integrators and large delivery teams while working across business, architecture and technology stakeholders.

Areas for development/review:

They are a career contractor and are not considering permanent opportunities. Flexibility is also important and they are unlikely to be interested in a role requiring five days onsite, although they will trade some rate for better working arrangements.

They are comfortable across ERP and broader business transformation but are less interested in hardcore infrastructure work such as data centre migrations. While SAP is a major part of their background, they are not fixed on SAP and would consider Microsoft, Oracle, ServiceNow or other enterprise transformation programs.

Education and Certifications:

MBA (Hons) in Project Management and Bachelor of Commerce and Management (Hons), majoring in Accounting & Finance.

PRINCE2 certified.

Availability and remuneration expectations:

Available immediately and looking for contract or FTC opportunities. Not considering permanent roles.

Targeting approximately $1,300(charge plus GST) per day depending on the scope.

Based south of the river with the CBD workable. Ideally looking for hybrid arrangements with two to three days in the office. Australian Citizen.
