Summary & Overview:
This candidate is a Project Manager with a background that crosses project delivery, service delivery, product development and earlier technical infrastructure roles.
Most recently, they completed a fixed-term engagement within a WA organisation, initially brought in to deliver a cyber security uplift aligned to NIST 2.0 and Essential Eight.
As that progressed, they were also given responsibility for a warehouse relocation and development of a digital application replacing a paper-based process.
Before returning to Australia, they spent a number of years with a large international IT services provider in the UK, moving between Project Manager, Product Manager and Project Delivery Manager roles. Much of this was across infrastructure, end-user computing, ITSM and service transition for large enterprise clients. They are now looking for a Senior Project Manager/Delivery role and would ideally like something permanent, although they are open to contract opportunities.
Why hire:
Good chat, nice to speak with and communicates well. Their background is quite broad, and they seem best suited to projects where there are a lot of moving parts, and they need to join the dots between technology, suppliers, business teams and service delivery. They have managed projects end-to-end and are comfortable with vendors, budgets, risks, governance and senior client engagement.
There is also a genuine service delivery background behind the PM experience. In the UK, they helped develop and roll out a walk-up technical support service built around ServiceNow, working across process design, development, ITSM integration, reporting and service delivery teams. Their earlier technical career also means they can work comfortably with infrastructure and engineering teams without needing to be the technical specialist themselves.
Areas for development/review:
They are not looking to be the technical lead on a project. Their value is more around coordinating delivery, understanding the wider impact of a project and making sure the right technical and business people are working together.
Their most recent role finished in June 2025, and there has been a gap since then. They returned to Australia, had some family circumstances following the death of a family member and initially took time out rather than immediately looking for another position. They have only recently started looking more actively again.
Education and Certifications:
PRINCE2 Practitioner, Agile Practitioner and ITIL V3 Foundation.
Their technical and framework exposure includes ServiceNow, Microsoft 365, TechnologyOne/CiA, Jira, NIST 2.0, Essential Eight and PCI-DSS.
Availability and remuneration expectations:
Available immediately. Permanent would be the preference, although they are open to contract opportunities.
Looking for around $130K + super for a permanent role, with some flexibility depending on the opportunity.
Based north of Joondalup and open to Osborne Park, the CBD and other Perth locations where the role makes sense. They actually quite like being in the office and are flexible around hybrid arrangements. Australian Citizen.
